July 21st, 2006 - The worms crawl in…
Yesterday, I purchased 1# red worms from WormMan’s Worm Farm. That means i absolutely must make the worm bin this weekend (need to drill holes in the plastic bins I bought). I started shredding paper for it yesterday, too. Unfortunately, they only ship worms on Mondays. I was hoping they’d arrive sooner. Shucks. Hopefully, Eric will notice when they are delivered, because this isn’t the season for them to sit on the front stoop. I’ll track them carefully, so hopefully we’ll know what day to look for them.
I’m really looking forward to vermicompost next spring for the garden. It’s doing so wonderfully already, but there’s definitely room for improvement!
